Match 7-14This 6 km walk only takes 2 hours, is well signposted and is completely on flat ground. It begins in the village of Kingston and then heads south to the coast. The ruins of 12th-century Corfe Castle are on route and are a popular place for a picnic lunch.
Although this long 14 km walk is mostly on paths, at certain points the route is not marked and directions require care. The walk starts in Radnor Forest and then continues steeply uphill. It's a hard climb up from Hill But it is peaceful at the top and walkers can see all the way to the Black Mountains.
The starting point for this short 7 km walk is the village of St Agnes. The walk then continues along the side of a valley until it reaches the coast. The climb up the cliffs is not difficult and from the top walkers can see for miles around. The area is well known for seabirds with over 900 pairs of kittiwakes nesting here.
Although long, this 14 km circular walk is always very popular. It is a well-signposted path that begins and finishes at Alnwick, where there is an 11th-century castle and a range of restaurants. Take a really enjoyable walk in the countryside surrounding the park. Allow at least half a day, or make it a full day by visiting the adventure playground and farmyard (both great for young children). Stop at the cafe (open all day) or enjoy the fantastic gardens, with beautiful fountains. Guided walks available for small groups.

The views are dramatic, and it's a popular place for family picnics. Guided walks start from the nearby village (10 am Sundays) and visit 800-year-old woodland and ruins dating back two thousand years.

Match 7-14This great movie has only just been released. The film tells the story of how a simple robbery at a jeweller’s shop turns into an international spying game. It’s an exciting and original story that you won’t be able to stop watching.
Each of these outstanding series is divided into topics which include European football, South American football and much more. The series includes interviews with all-time greats such as Pele, Maradona, Beckham, Messi and Ronaldo, plus highlights of every World Cup Final so far.
The pop music in this film is great, as it features the voices of top performers. The film follows a friendly tiger in the jungle, who becomes a hero to his friends. This film first came out in the 70s, and the graphics in this beautiful film have changed very little.
While you’re watching this beautiful film, you’ll also be entertained by the wonderful piano and violin music that accompanies it. It’s a film for the whole family, including young children, to sit down and see together. And everyone will find that they have something in common with the people in the film.
Sit back and watch the secrets of directors Spielberg, Tarantino, Hitchcock and more. Learn what made them different and how they changed the path of filmmaking forever. Some of the footage compares the equipment directors used at the beginning of their career with what they use today for filming. This is a superb documentary that young and old will find fascinating.
This documentary is an amazing look at the secret life of the snow leopard. The filming is excellent and the narration is fascinating. You’ll find out about the snow leopards’ habits, how they’re threatened and what is being done to save them. You can learn about the latest conservation programmes that the Biodiversity Trust is working on.
This beautiful film, with simple graphics, is based on the well-known novel, which has become very popular in school classrooms. Although it’s full of comedy situations and surprises from beginning to end, the film also has a serious message, and will leave you with something to think about after you’ve watched it.
This is a gentle film about a village of animals who all help each other through life - but things don’t always go at all as they expected. In fact, they’re usually far better! A beautiful, funny film with great songs you won’t forget. You’ll never get tired of watching it!

Match 7-14This has a 1.8 litre pot and a stainless steel exterior. It has a separate glass lid, and the handle on the lid stays cool. It produces perfectly cooked white rice, but tends to spit when cooking brown rice. There are slight dirt traps around the rim of the lid, and neither the pot nor the lid is dishwasher safe.
This has a plastic exterior and a flip-top lid. The lid locks when closed and becomes a secure handle to carry the cooker. The aluminium interior pot is quite difficult to clean, and it can't be put in a dishwasher. It's programmed to adjust the temperature once the rice is done so that it stops cooking but doesn't get cold.
This has a flip-top lid and a 0.3 litre capacity. The interior pot is made of nonstick aluminium and is dishwasher safe. This rice cooker is ideal when cooking for one. However it does not have any handles at the side, and water sometimes overflows when cooking brown rice.
The museum is located in the Old Town Hall, which was originally built to house horse-drawn fire engines. It has eight rooms, and the exhibits cover topics such as archive photographs, costume, domestic life and local celebrities.
This has a painted steel exterior with a handle on each side and a steel inner pot. It has a lift-off lid and comes with a booklet including a range of ideas for rice dishes. However, the keep-warm setting must be manually selected and the handles are tricky to grip.
This is simple to use, not spitting or boiling over even when cooking brown rice. The exterior stays cool when in use, so there's no danger of burning your hand. However, the lack of handles is a nuisance, and a recipe book would have been useful.
Built in 1740, this is the birthplace of pioneer social reformer Octavia Hill, who was active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries in social housing and the arts, as well as in conservation issues. Visitors are taken on a guided tour and are then free to explore the gardens.
The old market town of Chatteris was largely rebuilt, after two serious fires in 1706 and 1864 destroyed many of the town's ancient buildings. The museum's exhibits illustrate traditional aspects of the life of local farmers as well as the railway boom of the 19th century. The museum has a touch-screen kiosk which contains over 9,000 historic photographs and texts, reproductions of which can be made on request.

Match 7-14It’s easy to miss this central hotel hidden away in a side street. Full of character, it is popular with families and business travelers but don’t expect luxury service. Unlimited coffee, but nothing more, is available in the morning, but there are food stores a short walk away.
Hotel Mars is located on one of the main streets, a short walk from tourist attractions, theatres and restaurants. The luxury rooms are beautifully decorated and furnished with antiques. An excellent breakfast is served by waiters in the top-floor restaurant, which also offers spectacular evening views over the city.
The Odeon proves that you can find an inexpensive hotel in one of the city’s smartest locations but you’ll need a taxi if you want to experience the city’s nightlife. The rooms are comfortable but lack character. The buffet breakfast is average but with so many shops and cafes nearby it hardly matters.
The wonderful city museum is right next door to this friendly 19th century hotel. The old-fashioned furniture and attractive iron balconies all add to the homely atmosphere. The hotel games room will keep all ages entertained, and there’s plenty on offer at the self-service breakfast. Staff are always happy to supply information about
This medium-priced hotel is surrounded by artists’ studios, lively bars, and interesting food shops. It is right in the middle of the city. The underground station outside will take you anywhere, including the airport within minutes. Help yourself to breakfast from 8 am served downstairs, or coffee and rolls can be brought to your room before that.
A leading designer has decorated the inside of this smart modern hotel with bare grey walls, white bed covers and wooden floors. It’s a half hour bus ride to the city centre or the airport. The ground floor has a top class restaurant and gym. Reception is open 24 hours a day.
All costs are kept low here. Guests book on the Internet, then check in and buy everything they need from machines. Breakfast comes in airline-style boxes. You sleep in a tiny cabin for one and roll up your bed during the day. A fun choice for backpackers, who get together in the lively club next door.
This 19th century hotel is a busy area with plenty of restaurants. It was modernised two years ago and now has a fitness centre. Rooms are very comfortable with widescreen TV. There’s no restaurant, but you can order decent hot food via reception from the takeaway next door.

This shop is famous for its range of titles, from college textbooks to classic literature, and is known for its peaceful atmosphere. Regular customers come for the excellent cafe with its sofas and armchairs, which stays open until late.
There’s no room to sit down in this tiny back street bookshop, and the owner is often too busy to chat. On the first floor are children’s books and fine art books for collectors. At entrance level there are less expensive general fiction hardbacks.
You’ll only find good-quality used hardback books here on certain subjects. Toppings is run by three experts in art, travel and literature for the young. They are happy to chat and advise customers. The shelves are well-organised, and books can also be ordered from the shop’s website.
Scrimshaw’s has a huge selection of books showing the works of the great painters. Most are in excellent condition and reasonably priced, and the store’s online guide is regularly updated. The basement also has a cafe and a large number of out-of-date school textbooks on sale.
Here you’ll find the country’s largest selection of science-related books, including topics such as psychology and medicine. There are 70,000 used and new books, all at discount prices. This prize-winning bookshop is noted for its wide selection of titles, both paperback and hardback. Fiction is downstairs, non-fiction upstairs under the ancient roof of this 15th century building. The book club welcomes new members to discuss a different novel one evening each month.

The history of technology, including space exploration, medicine, and computing, all come together in this one space. Special late openings for adults every Wednesday evening from 6 pm-10 pm. Entrance is free but donations are welcome.
Come and see our fantastic exhibits of British-made cars and London buses. Our exhibits are not toys, but real-life, working forms of transport. Enjoy a ride on a Blackpool tram in the heart of London. Children enter free with one adult.
The most popular museum in the city, and it’s totally free! Our famous dinosaur exhibition forms the backbone of your visit, plus the way early humans lived, rocks from Mars, and the evolution of flight in birds.
Located on the outskirts of the city, the Space Centre is an educational museum giving everyone the opportunity to learn about travelling in space, the role of computers in space missions, and everyday life as an astronaut. Experience how it feels to wear a real space suit!
Although we’ve only been open for a few months, our small museum is making waves in the city. See our website for how! Discover the history of food culture not only in this country but internationally too. Join us for our cooking workshops every weekend. Easy to reach by bus or train.

Match 7-14Open Monday to Friday, Luigi’s is popular with people who work in the city because it’s close to the train station. It can be noisy, but it’s very friendly and the service is quick. Visit Luigi’s if you want to try their homemade pies and excellent hot drinks.
Although it’s in a basement, this brilliant cafe is bright and exciting. Lights of many different colours hang from the ceiling, and everyone sings along with the pop and rock songs. It’s not a quiet place, but it’s fun. You won’t believe the low cost of the chips and burgers!
The latest cafe in town is Pancake Paradise, and everyone is talking about it. This is where all the fashionable people like to be seen, and to see each other. Enjoy the original art on the walls while you wait for your tasty pile of pancakes, served with ice cream or honey.

This is a wonderful new cafe which, so far, is very popular with young people. It’s just a short walk from the college and offers a wide choice of soups and sandwiches at very reasonable prices. The best thing about the Sunshine Cafe is its outdoor seating area. Here you can have some fun in the sun.
Everything served in this busy seaside cafe is vegetarian and all natural. Try the carrot and spinach juice with one of the amazing salads. The prices are high, but definitely worth it. Green Dreams is owned and run by a local family who make everything fresh daily.
As the name suggests, this is where you should come if you want quick food in a cool place. Quick & Cool only opens at the weekends, but it fills up fast so get there early. Enjoy hip hop on the loud speakers and order some spicy chicken wings. You won’t stay long at Quick & Cool!
This is the perfect place to get away from the noise of the city. It’s conveniently located between the museum and the railway station, and serves the best baked goods in town. They play gentle classical music there. You can choose from 20 types of tea and relax.
There’s a Healthy Henry’s cafe in almost every town we know. Our one is located close to the park and it’s always busy. Everything is made from the freshest ingredients available - it’s nice to enjoy food that you know is good for you. The prices are pretty fair, too.
